Transform your skin this spring with our cutting-edge Fraxel® Dual Laser treatment. Designed to treat age spots, wrinkles, and sun damage, this revolutionary technology rejuvenates the skin, revealing a smoother, fresher look.
Introducing the Fraxel® DUAL Laser
Fraxel Dual is an advanced non-ablative fractional resurfacing technology featuring two distinct wavelengths (1550nm and 1927nm). Like other lasers, it targets water in the dermis, gently heating it to induce controlled thermal tissue damage. This process generates microscopic columns of tissue injury, penetrating deep into the skin and stimulating collagen production for natural healing. The dual wavelengths enable the laser to address both superficial and deeper layers of the skin, treating specific areas with precision while leaving surrounding tissue untouched. As a fractional laser, it minimizes downtime compared to ablative lasers, delivering effective results.
These treatments, known as skin resurfacing or rejuvenation, promote the growth of new cells and enhance skin texture by boosting natural collagen production, resulting in smoother and plumper skin.
What Skin Conditions Does the Fraxel DUAL Laser Treat?
The Fraxel DUAL laser is renowned for improving skin tone, texture, and radiance. It effectively addresses various skin concerns, including:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Brown spots and age spots
- Sun damage
- Surgical scars
- Acne scars
- FDA-cleared for melasma and actinic keratosis
The benefits of Fraxel DUAL treatment include smoother, younger-looking skin with minimal downtime and a lower risk of side effects compared to ablative lasers. Immediate benefits are often visible, with continued improvement over the following six months.
What to Expect on a Fraxel Treatment Day
Patients often report minimal pain, as topical numbing is applied before the procedure. The Fraxel DUAL laser’s tunable nature allows heat delivery customization and a cooling application further enhances comfort. Treatment duration varies based on the area and condition being addressed.
Long-Term Results of the Fraxel DUAL Laser Treatment
Given its fractional nature, multiple treatments may be necessary, usually spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Optimal results are often achieved after three treatments, with immediate and continued improvement over six months. Results can last a year or more with good skin care and daily sunscreen use.
SkinMedica® TNS Ceramide Treatment™ Cream: Moisturizing is essential after any laser treatment; stick with plain, fragrance-free formulas. Anything geared toward sensitive skin is a good bet. The skin’s moisture barrier requires replenishment after a Fraxel DUAL laser treatment. We recommend using a product that contains ceramides, essential ingredients for helping repair and maintain this delicate layer. SkinMedica’s TNS Ceramide Treatment cream is a ceramide-rich treatment cream for dry and post-procedure skin tailored to your skin needs.
