Advanced Dermatology & Skin Surgery now offers the most powerful CO2 laser in aesthetic medicine, the UltraPulse® laser, developed by Lumenis®. As a skin resurfacing treatment, UltraPulse rewinds time, helping to reverse the effects of aging and environmental factors.

The UltraPulse uses two fractional resurfacing modes, DeepFX™ | ActiveFX™. The modalities are customizable with an unmatched versatility in a range of treatments. ActiveFX improves skin texture and tone, fine lines, and sunspots. DeepFX induces skin tightening and collagen remodeling to address deep etched wrinkles and scars.

By creating microscopic thermal channels (micro thermal zones) at a customizable depth and density, the fractional laser triggers new collagen and elastin fiber production. Due to the fractional nature, skin between channels is unaffected leading to more rapid healing time compared to traditional CO2 laser resurfacing with simultaneous deep dermal remodeling. As a bonus, treatment duration is approximately one hour, and results can often be seen in as little as one session.

Skin concerns treated by the UltraPulse Laser include:

  • Fine lines
  • Deep wrinkles
  • Uneven skin tone and texture
  • Dark spots
  • Acne scars
  • Scar revision
  • Xanthelasma
  • Rhinophyma
  • Upper and lower eyelid laxity

Who is a candidate?

This treatment is not suitable if you are currently taking or have taken Accutane® (isotretinoin) within the past 6 months or have a history of keloid formation.

To determine if you are a candidate for UltraPulse laser skin resurfacing a consultation is required. During which time, it will be decided if you are an optimal candidate for this procedure and any pre-treatment instructions provided.

What to expect?

Downtime is minimal with most side effects disappearing within ten days. Only one treatment is needed for most skin concerns like skin resurfacing. Acne scarring and scar revision may need up to three sessions.

Whether you are looking for a more youthful appearance or to reduce the appearance of thick scars, this laser may be the perfect solution. Schedule your consultation with one of our trained Dermatologists to determine if you qualify for this CO2 fractional laser treatment.
