Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner

Angela Sankaran, ARNP is a native of Canada, and spent a significant portion of her life in Ecuador, where she graduated from high school. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honors from Trinity Western University in Canada, then went on to a career in nursing in Bellingham, WA, where she gained experience in medical, surgical, pediatric, postpartum, and critical care nursing. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University, where she was an Honor Society member, after which she has served as a nurse practitioner in pulmonary and critical care medicine, allergy, asthma and immunology, and dermatology. She loves dermatology because of the opportunity to partner with patients to customize care and improve their quality of life. Her favorite parts of dermatology are building relationships with patients of all ages and learning continually from patients, colleagues, and students. She especially takes interest in treating skin cancer, acne, allergic skin conditions, and psoriasis.Angela is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and as a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner by the Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Certification Board. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Nurse Practitioner Group of Spokane.In her free time, Angela can usually be found with her husband enjoying the outdoors, involved at church, or hosting university students in her home. She enjoys gardening, hiking, running, biking, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and swimming. She relaxes by reading, watching movies, and eating good food, especially chocolate! She loves traveling and has a long list of places yet to see.
